Climate Change and Land-use Change

Our program on climate change and land-use change generates knowledge through analyzing the impacts of climate change on biodiversity, agriculture, water, health and society via qualitative and quantitative methods. It monitors the extent and drivers of land-use change, as well as documents social responses to adapt with and mitigate pressures created by climate and land-use changes. Working with local communities and our collaborators, GIIS conducts research, builds capacity and develops technologies to reduce the negative impacts of climate and land-use changes.
